Lead and manage the drilling crew, including Drillers, Assistant Drillers, and Roughnecks, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure that all drilling operations adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and procedures, fostering a safety-conscious culture among the team. Oversee the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of drilling equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime. Monitor drilling parameters and rig performance, making necessary adjustments to optimize drilling efficiency and minimize risks. Lead the team in responding to emergency situations, conducting drills and implementing emergency procedures when necessary. Maintain clear and effective communication with other crew members, rig managers, and engineers, ensuring seamless coordination during drilling operations. Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, equipment maintenance, and incident reports, providing regular reports to rig management. Manage the drilling budget, including cost control and resource allocation, to ensure efficient use of resources.
