Baker Hughes and the OFSE segment provides products and services for onshore and offshore oilfield operations across the lifecycle of a well, ranging from exploration, appraisal, and development, to production, rejuvenation, and decommissioning. The successful candidate will be operating in our (SPC) Surface Pressure Control department within Baker Hughes.

As a Mechanical Fitter you will develop manufacturing technology and realize new products and systems. Set up, monitor, and operate various piece of equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements to undertake the Assembly and Test Surface Pressure Control equipment.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  • Carry out test & Assembly of Surface Wellhead Products.
  • New build manufacture & repair work scopes.
  • Strip, inspection, assembly, and repair.
  • Pressure testing Surface Wellhead Equipment.
  • Assembling Surface Wellhead Equipment and components from speciation?s and drawings for customer requirements.
  • Record defects and errors in line with company procedures.
  • Engaging with safety initiatives on site, especially HRO councils e.g pressure safety/lifting.
  • Setting up finished assemblies / products and testing them in accordance with routing and engineering procedures.


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold relevant qualification or demonstrate substantial experience in lieu of qualifications.
  • Have experience on Surface Wellhead Equipment.
  • Have a good knowledge of HSE requirements and be able to follow safety policies and procedures.
  • Have experience with pressure testing.


Hours:
Dayshift (07:00 - 15:30)
Backshift (15:30 - 00:00)
(shift pattern is on a rotational basis from week to week)
