Main function of the job: -

  Responsible for preparing drilling plans and work programs in term of design, optimization of drilling operations, selection equipment and estimate the cost of purchases and services for each well in order to obtain productive and efficient oil wells in cost effective way as well as adhere to international, environmental, and health and safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Prepare drilling work program in term of design, selection equipment and estimate the cost of purchases and services for each well.
• -Prepare drilling equipment purchases and drilling services contacts.
• Ensure administrative link between drilling department and related services contacts.
• Prepare feasibility studies on future wells and a new technology.
• Review end of well reports.
• Coach and train junior engineers to write drilling programs, prepare CFT packages and AFE cost for the wells.
• Establish drilling benchmarks and follow up KPIs and ALIs.
• Liaise with corporate planning, focus on long-term projects and carry out risks assessment.
• Ensure the update of wells profile and engineering files are in the drilling department software files.
• Prepare drilling feasibility hydraulic calculations for future ERD wells or subsea wells.
• Focuses in knowledge management to capture experience gained on drilling.
• Prepares input for TCM and MCM presentation.
• Primary link of enter data or stored and ensures QA/QC of the engineering data stored.
• Prepares the FDP input for the drilling contribution.

Qualification & Experience: -

• Education: - B.Sc. Petroleum engineering.

• Experience: - Minimum 10 years in drilling engineering, site drilling activities, modelling techniques, Land mark software and oil wells services contracts.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, presentation and technical analytical skills.
• Computer skills MS office
