Main function of the job: -

 The responsibility of HSE coordinator oversee daily activities related to health, safety and environment as well as promoting and maintaining the health and safety procedures in all company drilling sites to minimise risk and accidents. Additionally ensures effective communication between operation and HSE department to ensure smooth implementation of HSE Legislations and safety requirements in oil and gas industry.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

  • Prepare HSE audit for drilling and WO rigs.
  • Responsible for JRA for the operation in collaboration with HSE drillings, well services site supervisor and contractors.
  • Ensures coordination and reporting of HSE from rig site.
  • Prepare with drilling supertendent and well services superintendent the blow out contingency plan.
  • Provide technical support related to safety at all company drillings sites and organise HSE training for drilling personnel as required.
    • Visit the company drilling sites on a regular basis to ensure implementation of all health, safety and environmental audits, surveillance audits and work with site team for resolution of non-conformance issues.
  • Perform incident investigation, analyse the incident root causes, develop measures and follow up actions to be taken to prevent similar occurrence in the future.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and control stock of PPE.
  • Make sure SIMOPS regulations are respected with respective OSL and attend HSE monthly rig contractors is meetings.
  • Make sure all onshore and offshore drilling supervisors IWCF certificates are valid.
  • Develop and update company HSE documents, HSE Plans and general procedures policy.
  • Prepare with HSE department the MEDEVAC plan.
  • Ensure drilling contractor develop, implement and maintain a specific risk management plan as per the Contract and HSE legislation.
  • Keep active data base on incidents, accidents and RUE cards. Establishes HSE targets in compliance with HSE department,
  • Prepare routine and technical reports as well as develop and maintain record for safety statistical data.

Qualifications & Experience: -

  • Education: - B ENG in Safety and Fire Engineering or Chemical / Process,..etc.
  • Experience: - Minimum 15 years experience in safety management in oil and gas industry includes drilling sites, accounting and contracts.
  • Must be fully familiar with plant safety requirements and safety engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational, presentation and technical risk analysis skills.
  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer skills MS office.

  • Work Cycle of 6 Months on / 3 weeks off
    • 8 Hours a day
