Job Purpose

1. Works with the NFXP Onshore Project Leadership Team to support the delivery of all aspects of the Onshore Facilities to identify, analyze and provide solutions on various project related issues ranging from project execution (e.g. Safety, Progress, EPC Contractor issues) to risk management (e.g. Contractor financial distress) to project communications (e.g. EPC Contractor press releases, site tours for VIPs) to administrative and personnel (e.g. All Team meetings (Townhalls), teambuilding, recruitment, retention, leadership development).
2. Reports directly to NFXP Onshore onstruction Division Manager and works across Engineering, SHES, Business, Interface and Constructionto assist in the development of team strategies and recommendations on tactics to implement the strategies and identification and resolution project issues.

Reporting and Relationships

• Reports to NFXP Onshore Construction Division Manager EPC-1

Internal

1. Interfaces and collaborates on a daily basis with the NFXP Onshore EPC-1 Construction Division Manager, EPC-1 Head Construction Superintendents, EPC-1 SSHE Division Manager, EPC-1 Quality Division Manager, Area Division Managers, Commissioning Division Managers and their direct reports (on as needed basis).
2. Frequent contact with NFXP Onshore Project Management Teams (Shared Services, EPC-2, EPC-3, EPC-4) Operations Expansion and Start-up (OES), and other departments within QatarEnergy LNG as necessary, on behalf of the NFXP Onshore Project

External

1. Regular interaction with EPC Contractors and their sub-contractors, associated vendors and suppliers.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

• Responsible for the development and delivery of course corrections to overall project objectives. Supports strategic and tactical planning based on the identification and evaluation of trends occurring within the EPC Projects, QatarEnergy LNG, EPC Contractor and sub-contractor performance, industry and worldwide events. Participates in weekly meetings, supports the development of key messages and themes regarding project status, issues, etc. for both internal and external communication and engagements. EPC Contractor and PMT meetings, interacts with EPC-1 Project Management Team members to identify trends and provide recommendations through risk based evaluation of complex technical, execution, administrative and personnel issues to enable the safe and timely delivery of the projects. Major challenge will be the review and evaluation of copious amounts of project information and documentation to timely identify trends and provide recommendations to the EPC-1 Cpnstrcution Division Manager.

1. Responsible for the development and recommendation of course corrections to project strategies and related tactical decisions to enable the successful delivery of the project. Continuous review of project documentation, staying current on industry trends, EPC Contractors' execution issues and status and worldwide events to provide guidance to the Leadership Team on possible revisions to the strategies and /or tactics.

1. Reviews and evaluates existing project procedures in view of trends and risks and recommends revisions or develops new procedures to address deviations from agreed strategies. Develops presentations and drafts letters and memos.

1. Serves as the NFXP Onshore EPC-1 Cpnstruction Division Manager's "fix-it" envoy to identify and correct issues, within his boundaries of authority, in the project.Provides briefings and intel on the issues and the corrective actions.

1. Supports the EPC-1project in knowledge / lessons learned management to ensure project knowledge is disseminated timely across the EPC Projects.

1. Champion initiatives within the Project to deliver on the project objectives; safety, quality, cost and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Knowledge and/or Experience

• 10-15 years' experience with 5 years at the senior project engineering and / or supervision level with overall responsibility for project execution or experience in Joint Ventures, Operated by Others projects and / or experience with Corporate level activites. Broad and extensive knowledge in engineering, safety, quality, construction and commissioning along with general project leadership experience in administration and coordination.
