For a Direct Air Capture Facility:
• Develop, manage, and participate in programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe work
• Support commissioning and start up of industrial Direct Air Capture facility. This will include equipment QA/QC validation, acceptance of equipment and documentation and troubleshooting on start up.
• Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce cost
• Provide QAQC support conducting inspections, performance quality audits, and ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, while assisting in the identification and resolution of quality-related issues.
• Provide cost estimating and engineering proposals on routine replacement of equipment to correct maintenance problems or for the improvement of processing equipment
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance organizations throughout the plant to evaluate and resolve maintenance problems
• Provide training to production, maintenance, and other departments in the proper operation, troubleshooting, repair techniques, controls, and care of electrical equipment
• Keep current on new technology and equipment and evaluate applicability for use in the plant
• Consult with contractors, Company maintenance personnel and outside service groups on capital and maintenance projects
• Develop, implement, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs
• Ensure applicable preventative maintenance programs are functioning and are executed as designed
• Ensure compliance of electrical maintenance systems and electrical components with corporate standards
• Establish testing and calibration procedures for electrical equipment, as necessary
• Recommend, establish, and update spare parts requirements for existing or new equipment
• Prepare equipment specifications and purchase requests
• Develop inspection, testing, outage, and repair scopes throughout the plant
• Lead in troubleshooting issues with major equipment or repetitive issues
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and operating permits.
• Actively participates in plant’s Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS) programs to assure a safe and environmentally sound workplace
• Actively participate in safety meetings and various other HESS programs while promoting safety through offering recommendations to other employees on working safely
Qualifications
• BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years previous Electrical Engineering Experience in a Power Generation or Manufacturing Environment required, 10 or more years preferred.
• Ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and in the time required
• Strong analytical/problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read, write and speak in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team and to develop team members
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs
• Walking, bending, stooping is required
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator and be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
