Jacket Lifting Supervisor
We have a current opportunity for a Jacket Lifting Supervisor on a contract basis. The position will be based in Doha. For further information about this position please apply.
  • To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities.
  • To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices,
  • To provide expertise in daily handling and lifting activities including categorization of lifts
  • To ensure onsite the implementation of risk assessment, hazard identification and JSA.
  • Participate in CTR toolbox talks onsite
  • Review tagging/color code of all CTR lifting equipment (sling, shackles, etc.)
  • To confirm CTR’s selection of lifting equipment as per activities.
  • To attend Tool Box Talks and post-job debriefing meetings including assessment of completed jobs
  • To review lifting plans (non-critical and critical lifting)
  • To Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring COMPANY HSE policy and international standard, review engineering calculation for complex and complicated lifts
  • To review complicated and complex lift plan and make sure all preparatory works completed successfully prior to the lifting operation.
  • To provide technical advice to CPY teams.
  • To be involved in audits of the lifting operations.
  • Ensure the correct implementation of the Permit to Work system.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and construction
  • Following OPITO certifications mandatory:
  • LCP (LOLER Competent Person) / Lifting Supervisor
  • Banksman Slinger OPITO Level 3 or 4
  • Rigger OPITO Level 3 or 4
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years in the lifting & handling industry at supervisory level.
Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):
  • Available for technical missions worldwide
  • Available for technical missions worldwide,
  • Familiar with General Specifications, relevant codes(AISC,API,ASME,ASW,ISO)
  • Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Language: Fluent in English,
  • Computer literate,
  • Strong leadership skills and good communication skills,
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment,
  • Good analytical skills
