Job Purpose
The Subsea Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and coordination of mobilisation, demobilisation, and preservation of stored assets for subsea operations. This includes the deployment of vessels, assets, equipment, and personnel. The role requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of assets to project sites. Ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and alignment with project objectives is a key responsibility.

Job Purpose
The Subsea Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and coordination of mobilisation, demobilisation, and preservation of stored assets for subsea operations. The role requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of assets to project sites. Ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and alignment with project objectives is a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed mobilisation and demobilisation schedules in coordination with project and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Ensure all subsea equipment is prepared, certified, and ready for deployment, with required permits, certificates, and insurance in place.
- Oversee logistics for equipment transport, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and handling at ports and operational sites.
- Supervise equipment inspection and functional testing to confirm compliance with industry standards and operational requirements.
- Coordinate personnel mobilisation, ensuring certifications, visas, travel, and accommodation arrangements are in place.
- Identify risks associated with logistics, personnel mobilisation, and equipment handling, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance standards throughout mobilisation and demobilisation phases.
- Maintain effective communication with project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders, providing regular progress updates.
- Track and manage mobilisation expenses, working with procurement to identify cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee the preservation of subsea assets stored at operational facilities, ensuring readiness for future projects.
- Manage the demobilisation process post-project, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and equipment storage.
- In-depth knowledge of subsea systems, including subsea tooling, ROVs, umbilicals, risers, and pipeline repair systems.
- Strong understanding of project planning methodologies and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Proven experience in logistics management, including international shipping, heavy lift operations, and port clearance.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and implement solutions.
- Effective communication skills for interfacing with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and team coordination abilities.
- Offshore survival certifications (e.g., BOSIET, STCW) and knowledge of international maritime regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, maritime studies, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with relevant experience).
- Prior experience in subsea or offshore logistics and mobilisation coordination.
