We are currently looking for an Engineering Specialist (Vibration) with 10 + years of experience on behalf of our client who is a major Oil & Gas production Company in Libya.

Main function of the job: -

Responsible for plant rotating machines operation condition including vibration data, lube oil results and other critical operating process data to determine machines health and take corrective action before machine malfunctions and an interruption in plant production occurs and as well as analyse, solve complex rotating equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. work closely with plant operation, prepare equipment maintenance programs and all the work must be carried out according to plant safety requirements in oil and gas industry.

    Duties and Responsibilities: -

• Utilize predictive programs to monitoring the performance of plant rotating equipment such as compressors turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, motors,..etc.
• Review and analyse rotating equipment condition including vibration data, lube oil results, and use other critical operation process data such as pressures, temperature, flows, loads, and efficiencies to determine equipment health.
• Use vibration data acquisition software and the diagnostic equipment to track the health of the critical rotating machinery.
• Analyse rotating equipment failures to objectively determine the cause and recommend solution and actions to prevent similar failure.
• Establish overhaul, repair procedures and coordinate with operation and maintenance staff preventive maintenance program for rotating equipment including steam and gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocated compressors, pumps, forced draft fans, gear box, internal combustion engines.
• Review spare parts requirements for a new machinery and recommend proper action.
• Assist other maintenance divisions with installation and starting of a new rotating equipment such as compressors, turbines, gearboxes, pumps,..etc.
• Ensure that works related to vibrations are carried out and completed in accordance with the approved standards and safety instruction specified in the equipment Safety Manual.
• Ensure that the devices for measuring vibrations, balances and alignments are calibrated.
• Prepare technical reports and keep records and information about the history, nature and behaviour of vibrations on all equipment at the site.
• Provide on the job training for junior mechanical and vibration specialist.

    Qualification & Experience: -

• Education: - BSc degree in Mechanical engineering.
• Experience: - Minimum 10 years’ experience in rotating equipment’s vibration system analysis included Bently Nevada 3500 vibration monitoring system1.
• Good English written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills.
• Computer skills MS office.

Summary of Terms & Conditions:

• Work Cycle of 56/21 including travel days, for American, Eastern and Western Europe, others 65/21 including Travel days
