Qualifications

Bachelor or Engineer Degree in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or International Trade, or equivalent diploma plus experience

Knowledge and/or Experience

Minimum of ten (10) years in Freight Forwarding operations, maritime imports and exports, transport of conventional and unconventional goods, including dangerous goods.

• Knowledge of and proficiency in the techniques of identifying, analyzing, and resolving transportation and logistic problems.
• Knowledge and experience in customs clearance procedures and operations, and associated documentation.
• Demonstrates sound written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels, in particular when at Site.
• Experience with Contractors, Sub-contractors and Vendors involved in the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrate ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
• Experience with worldwide Logistics and Freight Forwarding organisations.

Technical and Business Skills

The person in charge is a former global freight forwarding operator with proven experience in a multi-national company handling major multi-modal operations worldwide.

• The person in charge can justify of diverse technical and business background in executed projects to enable strong interface and communications with Project Managers, Business Team personnel, government and port authorities and construction personnel.
• The person in charge shall demonstrate good teamwork ability, facilitation skills, communication skills, and stress control.
• The person in charge shall show good analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of adaptability.
