Administration
- Act as the Company Representative on the Contractor's offshore Accommodation Support Vessel (ASV).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Contractor's offshore representative, including during emergencies.
- Manage daily reporting and ensure familiarity with project documents, specifications, and procedures.
- Address issues impacting project schedule, cost, or HSE performance, proposing mitigation plans.
- Oversee invoicing for vessel and hoteling contractors.
Technical Expertise
- Monitor vessel operations, including position keeping, helicopter operations, lifting, and cargo handling.
- Lead/participate in offshore Constructability, HAZID, audits, risk assessments, and HSE walkdowns.
- Coordinate with onshore teams (logistics, travel, catering, cost control, planning).
Advice and Leadership
- Provide leadership to the ASV team, resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Promote onboard HSE, monitor KPIs, and attend HSE walkdowns.
- Support the PH2B hookup and shutdown team.
- Work collaboratively across Company and Contractor teams to resolve conflicts.
Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and maintain personnel welfare and asset protection.
- Actively participate in safety programs and promote the Ichthys Project HSE Charter.
Teamwork
- Foster collaboration with vessel and catering contractors.
- Uphold workplace values, embracing diversity, and maintain strong teamwork.
- Operate effectively in both office and offshore environments.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Chief Officer certification (or equivalent), or Trade qualification with leadership experience.
- Offshore construction and vessel management experience, including accommodation vessels or vessels supporting oil and gas facilities.
- Strong background in HSE reporting and safe practices in ship operations and offshore environments.
- Holder (or eligible) of an MSIC and current TBOSIET certification (or ability to obtain).
- Proven ability to manage offshore vessel operators, marine crew, and hoteling staff effectively.
- Knowledge of key vessel systems such as Dynamic Positioning, Cranes, Heli Deck, and Mustering.
- Experience managing large vessels with 20+ personnel and overseeing marine and catering contractors.
- Skilled in monitoring Quality, HSE obligations, and enforcing Management of Change (MOC) procedures.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide timely and accurate operational reports.
- Proven expertise in contract delivery and invoicing oversight within oil and gas projects.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and workforces of diverse cultures.
