Petroplan is recruiting for a Project Engineering Manager on behalf of a US based LNG Operator. This Project Engineering manager will oversee the Power Island System (PIS) at our clients site in Cameron, Louisiana.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Engineering/Management, with at least 4 years in the LNG industry.
  • Strong expertise in project management systems and principles, with proven experience working alongside engineering and management teams to develop tools for operational readiness, performance monitoring, and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead weekly schedule forecasts and ensure timely completion of engineering tasks for PIS, supporting Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
  • Serve as the main on-site point of contact for all technical engineering matters related to PIS.
  • Approve area Management of Change (MOC) and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) as the engineering manager's delegate.
  • Provide input for the weekly site engineering report.
  • Act as the PIS Request for Information (RFI) Owner.
  • Address and manage the PIS punch list.
  • Oversee missing and borrowed material lists to ensure timely replacement and spare replenishment.
  • Validate and sign off on A and B Inspection Test Records (ITRs) as needed, working closely with site coordinators.
  • Assess Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) work packages for accuracy and content.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback on installation, erection, and pre-commissioning plans and documents, communicating specific requirements and sequences to the coordinators.
  • Inspect key arriving equipment and participate in site walk-downs.
  • Maintain records of transferred scope to the site and attend interface meetings between EPC and Owner-Furnished Equipment (OFE) contractors.
  • Support system turnover processes, including Mechanical Completion (MC) reviews, Documentation for Operations (DFO) tasks, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
  • Collaborate with the commissioning team on pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup tasks, including participating in planning sessions and validating completion tags and system boundaries in advance
