Due to significant growth in our Water Sector, we arerecruiting for a Programme Manager (Wastewater) to join our CMDPFramework with Southern Water (SWS).
Costain have won extensive work across the water sector thisyear to support the AMP 8 investment cycle. This is a senior management appointment,and we are looking for someone with real drive and passion to furtherstrengthen the CMDP relationship with SWS and take the framework to the nextlevel.
Reporting directly to the Programme Director (Wastewater)you'll be accountable for managing all site-based activities ensuring projectsare delivered on time, to the required standards and within budget, includingthe co-ordinating of site works and management of subcontractors resulting insuccessful project completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the CMDP wastewater team in all aspects of delivery
Provide strategic and professional guidance to Project Managers, ConstructionManagers, and wider members of the team
Actively champion wellbeing, safety and environment performance, and compliancethroughout your team to create a safety culture to ensure Zero LTI and RIDDORIncidents
Communicate extensively across all stakeholders within SWS, and internallywithin CMDP to leverage the maximum potential of CMDP in the AMP8 programme ofworks
Develop and maintain a high-performance culture across the CMDP team,delivering efficiencies and continuous improvement
Provide whole life oversight and accountability for the successful delivery ofwastewater projects, through design, procurement, assembly, commissioning, andhandover
Deliver commercial and financial performance in line with budget expectations
Promote and actively demonstrate collaborative behaviours within the CMDP JVteam
About You
Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND inCivil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering
Ability to positively engage and build strong stakeholder andpartner relationships to achieve mutual success.
Significant amount of contract delivery experience where you havesuccessfully managed a regional framework of multiple projects of a complex orcritical nature.
Previous experience in water/wastewater treatment plants
An engaging leader of people with extensive line management anddevelopment of people.
Excellent knowledge, and experience of CDM and Construction &Engineering Management
Excellent knowledge of contractual forms used for collaborativeproject delivery
Solutions focussed
Solid commercial, financial and analytical skills.
Experience with Digital Strategy in construction.
Chartered (or working towards) with an engineering, commercial orconstruction institution
