Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development. The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation, BA Function Procurement & Logistics. You will be mainly accountable for: • Processing purchase requisitions and creating purchase orders to meet business needs efficiently. • Conducting phone negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal terms for quality, cost, and delivery. • Monitoring and managing purchase order confirmations and ensuring on-time deliveries to maintain operational flow. • Resolving issues related to purchase orders and invoices to guarantee seamless procurement operations. • Executing supplier registration and qualification processes to ensure compliance and reliability. • Closely collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to foster productive and effective partnerships. • Identifying and implementing improvements to enhance procurement processes and support organizational development. • Promoting a culture of high-quality work and continuous improvement throughout the team and organization.

Qualifications for the role
- You are highly skilled in using tools such as Excel and SAP, leveraging them to optimize procurement processes within a professional environment.
- You have 2+ years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of delivering efficient and effective solutions in this field.
- You are at ease communicating fluently in both business German (C1) and English (C1), demonstrating excellent communication skills, especially during phone conversations.
- You are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to meeting customer needs.
- You possess advanced interpersonal skills that help foster strong relationships and ensure smooth collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
