Engineering Manager - Head of CoE Customer Support
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will provide advanced technical support for ABB's medium voltage drives, playing a key part in our global service network. Based in Turgi, Switzerland, you'll apply your expertise to optimize and maintain drives used for process control and energy savings. As a technical specialist, you'll collaborate with peers across development and service, converting learnings into sustainable improvements. If you're looking for a dynamic, flexible position in a multidisciplinary environment, join us and help shape the future of sustainable energy solutions. You will be mainly accountable for: • Leading resolution of the most complex service cases including performing in-depth analyses and simulations • Providing technical guidance to other support levels and ensuring know-how transfer between the Center of Excellence and the global service network • Establishing and guiding resolution expert teams and making sure that lessons learnt are shared within the organization • Contributing to the continuous development of our business, including participating in product improvements in collaboration with quality and engineering teams • Showing willingness to cover part of our 24/7 service support availability • Executing electrical drive system studies with the help of hardware-in-the-loop simulators

Qualifications for the role
- You hold a degree in Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, providing a strong technical base for this role.
- You are highly immersed in working with customers and have solution orientation with the ability to approach technical challenges in a structured manner.
- You have 5+ years of continuous experience in the service, development or engineering of MV drives.
- You are passionate about roles that require creative problem-solving, quality improvement, and a commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
- You are at ease communicating in English, and additional language skills are an advantage.
- You are motivated to learn and innovate within a structured yet dynamic environment, with flexibility to adapt to diverse approaches for enhanced service solutions.
