Local Division Manager - Traction
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive and implement marketing activities for the assigned market segments in line with the agreed strategy. Each day, you will conduct market analyses using available marketing tools for existing and potential products, systems, and/or services for assigned markets. You will also showcase your expertise by creating end-user acceptance and specification offerings tailored to the target segments while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and continuously monitoring segment performance. The work model for the role is: Hybrid This role is contributing to the Traction and Large Motor Divisions in Australia and New Zealand. The role will involve driving and implementing marketing activities for core business industries including Traction for Rail, Mobile ePower, mining and battery, as well as the Large Motors and Synchronous Condensers, in line with the marketing and communications plan. You will be mainly accountable for: • Proposing and implementing communication activities including social media content, project win article writing, and employee communications. • Generating marketing and sales leads via advertising, sponsorship, events, and other promotional activities, using ABB web tools and Salesforce CRM and Pardot as a hub for integrated marketing communications. • Developing creative concepts and related material across all communication vehicles. Creation of materials can include, but are not limited to, success stories, case studies, press releases, customer presentations, scripts, podcasts, market collateral, etc. • Organising events and exhibitions to increase corporate image and to support business, including undertaking training to utilise any new online business platforms for hosting virtual events • Ensures relevant marketing communication strategy and plans align with global marketing, communications, corporate, and country communications strategies and guidelines. • Writing articles for content such as case studies to support exposure of divisions news, sales project wins, and product launches. • Able to foster positive working relationships with multiple stakeholders and a variety of functions (technical and commercial) across the business. Qualifications for the role
- Degree or certificate in marketing, marketing communications, or event management and marketing (recognised in Australia) and 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience understanding a brief and consequently developing strong event campaign content and all necessary components that lead to successful execution.
- Excellent creative writing and copy writing skills for marketing campaigns and corporate communications.
- Digital and social media content creation experience and comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and experience in working with Content Management Systems (CMS), particularly Salesforce CRM, a plus.
- The ability to multitask, apply essential marketing practices, and manage stakeholder priorities is paramount.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst continuing to pay fine attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English essential.
- A people-person, with the ability to build rapport with those from a variety of industries and backgrounds.
