Regional Product Line Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will manage a team of designers/engineers to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering solutions to customers. Formulate plan, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Initiate, coordinate, drive and oversee team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability. This role is contributing to the relay & scada in Taiwan. You will be mainly accountable for: • Ensures development of performance targets in line with global/local targets and their achievement through regular oversight, defining required actions for improvement. Actively embraces and implements ABB Values, HSE, Integrity, Diversity & Inclusion and other people related strategies within the local engineering unit / team. • Ensures delivery of technical solutions according to customer requirements. Drives development of processes/practices based on customer feedback. Provides engineering support during the bid phase, ensures that the resources required to deliver the technical solutions are correctly accounted (e.g., the requirements for safety, technical competence, quality, schedule, and cost). Ensuring the projects/ operations value chain portfolio follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures and that the projects are closed as per the contract specifications. • Defines and ensures implementation of operating guidelines for team. Oversees progress within own area of responsibility, identifies and manages technical issues. Guides the team in building engineering/operational capability through training, mentoring and shadowing programs. Supports local division in establishing and deploying required frameworks/processes. Conducts and follows-up certification process jointly with division. Ensures processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences. • Ensures that all HSE and integrity related policies and standards are strictly adhered to and followed in local engineering unit/team. Ensures (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates, coaches, and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR polices.

Qualifications for the role

• Experience of SCADA
• Active personality.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multinational environment and in a matrix organization
• Flexibility in travelling within the specified area/country
• English skill for daily e-mail and telephone communication with internal stakeholders and customers.
