Strategic Staffing Solutions is currently looking for a Wind Turbine Technicians for one of its clients!!

Candidates should be willing to work on our W2 ONLY.

Job Title: Wind Turbine Technicians

Schedule: Onsite, Travel 100% ( This is for travel work-6 weeks on ; 1 week off.)

Location(s): Blue Earth, MN

Contract Length: 12 months

Training:

This training level is intended to train for the less difficult (technical) work. Trainees, under close supervision and in accordance with established safety and technical procedures, learn and perform increasingly difficult duties of a semi-technical nature in a specialized program. When incumbents become proficient in their duties, they work under general supervision and guidelines performing routine tasks and assist higher level technicians with more complex and difficult tasks

Responsibilities:

• 60%, Maintenance of Wind Turbine Fleet

• Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines as they relate to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
• Perform pad mounted Transformer switching in accordance with all Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures
• Perform small or large corrective tasks on wind turbines
• Work as scheduled during the week and on call as required by manager
• Climb 300 ft. several times daily
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness at all times
• Work in a outdoor environment for an extended period of time
• Operate equipment including but not limited to forklifts and grounds keeping equipment. 20%, Compliance & Administrative Record Maintenance
• EH&S Documentation
• Complete necessary paperwork (work order, timesheet, tool and PPE inventory, and additional paperwork as necessary)
• Work within Maximo to complete work orders 20%, Add 'I Support for Sites
• Willing to travel and assist other Company Solutions when needed.
• High voltage and sub-station maintenance experience
• Familiarity with mechanical and electronic testing equipment (i.e. voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, and various hand and power tools)
• Knowledge of heavy equipment for facility maintenance and working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements

• Working in hot and cold weather This position contains a weight restriction of 265 pounds as an essential function of the job. The purpose of this restriction is to ensure that all weight rated equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner within maximum allowed weight loading.

Qualifications:

Experience with multiple wind turbine supplier technology.

Associates degree

Specific Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• The ability to climb turbine towers (up to 300ft) daily is a requirement of this position
• Ability to complete level I job performance measures within 1 year
• Complete Initial Training
