Under the direction of the Program and Project (Supervisory), the incumbent will independently perform responsible, varied and complex technical and analytical work at the full journeyperson level, related to the Clean Transportation Program (CTP), which deploys significant funds to support the transition to zero-emission vehicles and infrastructure. This incumbent will be responsible for individual projects, transportation energy analysis, outreach and education development activities, and agreement management activities associated with the funding deployment in the Passenger Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Branch .

Working Conditions

The CEC supports a hybrid workplace model with office-based and remote-centered workers. Limited in-person attendance and occasional travel may be required based on the needs of the division. Regular and consistent attendance is essential to successful performance. This position is remote-centered, which means the incumbent works 50 percent or more of their time from an alternate work location

    Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
  • Ability to reason logically and creatively, evaluate and apply a variety of analytical and research methods for the purpose of systematic, critical, and thorough analysis of energy problems or prospective issues leading to formulation, testing, or revision of State and/or Federal energy policies.
  • Ability to utilize available computer systems for database and/or computational applications.
  • Experience with contract management.
  • Knowledge of ZEV infrastructure; prior experience working in a ZEV infrastructure policy or deployment role is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including effective writing and editing for both technical and non-technical audiences; ability to communicate observations, results, and recommendations verbally and in writing to management and outside stakeholders; ability to draft public-facing material and content.
