JOB DESCRIPTION
NOV is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Ledger Controller to join our Cairo team. The Ledger Controller will lead the finance function for their assigned ledger, handling reporting, SOX compliance, planning, IC accounting, taxation, and cash flow management in collaboration with shared services. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and presenting financial information to support management, providing financial analysis, and developing performance reports and metrics for planning purposes.
The role involves creating financial models, forecasting business performance, and delivering detailed reports to aid in solid financial decision-making. Ideal candidates will be proactive, eager to take on challenges, and keen to develop their leadership skills and knowledge through various projects.

The Ledger Controller will lead the finance function for their assigned ledger, handling reporting, SOX compliance, planning, IC accounting, taxation, and cash flow management in collaboration with shared services. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and presenting financial information to support management, providing financial analysis, and developing performance reports and metrics for planning purposes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Sales and Operations within the region producing monthly and annual reports including forecasting/budgeting
- Determine cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
- Proactively analyse cost trends within P&Ls
- Ensure all corporate monthly reporting requirements are met according to business schedule
- In charge of the BSAR and SOX controls.
- Leading the year end audit with the external auditors
- Manage the compliance with the local laws and regulations with tax authority and GAFI
- Ensure and maintain data integrity
- Work closely with the key stakeholders including BU Managers, Finance, Operations and Service to gain full understanding of cost base, absorption rates in order to drive efficiencies and reduce costs
- Identify financial status by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA Commerce, Accounting + Professional certificate CPA or CMA
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- 5- 10 years relevant experience
- Strong communications and presentation skills
- Experience with multinational environment
- Solid knowledge and practice of GAAP & IFRS
- Strong Supervision skills
