Guide all design, engineering, and technical matters relative to support to existing field operations, Assets design and system engineering for new use cases in support of the Business Development team.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with Livewire senior Leadership team to develop and implement a robust strategic plan for the power generation division. This includes setting ambitious yet achievable goals, defining clear performance metrics, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Mission & Goals: Reflect and embody Livewire Power's strategic vision within the power generation division. Enhance operational efficiency and team collaboration. Act as the primary liaison for power generation activities and initiatives.
  • Operational Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive overview of day-to-day operations, facilitating effective communication and coordination among power generation engineering support.
  • PG package design: Deliver new/ improved Power generation package designs, which incorporate lessons learned from the field and support Livewire Power asset build plan.
  • New use cases: Demonstrate and develop strong understanding of underlying business segment along with an understanding of customer's business needs. Evolve the business in applying it to new use cases in the power generation space and innovating with integrated solutions across stranded gas and microgrid/ grid power.
  • Scaling: Oversee the scaling of the entire power generation division, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, additional capabilities needs and staffing.
  • Best Customer Experience: Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that Livewire Power Drives consistently meets or exceeds their needs and expectations.
  • Team Development: Responsible for the hiring, training, and mentorship of a high-performing team. The DPG will work closely with team leads to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Implementation of Lessons Learned: Lead the process relative to the occurrence of field issues and their engineering disposition - short term remedial actions and long term resoltuon.
  • Process Optimization: Lead the effort in identifying and implementing process improvements within the PGD, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate various risks in the power generation business, including technical, operational and reputational risks.
  • Industry Relationships: The PG Engineering Director will create and nurture industry relationships to foster new business and execute the jobs in the order books with potential new partners.
  • Business Development: Maintain thorough knowledge of sales pipeline, market penetration, market development. Understand competitive landscape and differentiation of the offering

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, material science-related field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of related management experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and must be able to communicate across functions and levels of the organization.
  • Critical Technical and Operations Experience particularly in Systems Engineering - Power Plant Electrical Engineering -
  • Operational Excellence and Project Management, analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge to new systems to develop quality controls.
  • Knowledge and practice of lean principles & Six Sigma.
  • Must possess the ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Able to read, speak and write English.
  • Using mathematics to solve problems.
  • Employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; climb up and down stairs.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; kneeling; pushing or pulling; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Minimal safety hazards; general office working conditions.
  • Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.
  • Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
  • Very good physical mobility and dexterity to inspect conditions of Trucking Assets (top, bottom, side, etc.), loading/unloading connections, etc.
  • Normal physical strength & fitness to handle conditions consistent with crude trucking field operations.
  • Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
  • Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.
  • Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities.
