Essential skills and knowledge
- Review and update the bow tie diagrams based on major accident scenarios and provide input in
- line with COMPANY standards.
- Develop bow tie diagrams using Bowtie XP, assign PFD values to each barrier, calculate the risk, and compare it with COMPANY acceptability criteria.
- Represent IMR department in all field modifications Impact assessment session.
- Play a key role during the impact assessment sessions by assessing the additional risk associated with the modifications in terms safety, environment and asset. The assessment shall not be limited to the risk but as well to equipment impact associated with the modifications.
- Support in performing the integrity threat Standalone risk assessment.
- Chair HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA workshop in line COMPANY standard/guideline.
- Perform consequence analysis for the leak scenario by using DNV PHAST software.
- Ensure the technical requirements of the Development Team are heard and leverage their knowledge and expertise to do Product Backlog refinement and ensure there is a shared understanding of what to achieve and why in order to optimize the value of the work the Development team performs.
- Communicate continuously with all product stakeholders ensuring everyone is up to date, present at the Sprint Reviews or Product Backlog refinement, is aware of decisions being made and understanding the product’s vision and goals.
- Manage continuously the product stakeholders and the functional expectations of the users to ensure alignment with business and the future users.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Engineering Degree or Masters preferably in chemical engineering.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience of which: 12 years general upstream oil and gas experience; 3 years Safety Engineering and technical integrity experience in a large oil and gas organization. Familiar with safety engineering industry standards and guidelines.
- ENGINEER is recommended to be Functional Safety certified and HAZOP Leader.
- Knowledge of scenario-based risk assessment or QRA, FERA, SECE identification, performance standards, bowtie and safety barrier development in line with IOGP standards
- Knowledge or experience with agile development and with UX/User Center Design principles.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Good problem solving and facilitation skills, great time management and organization skills, team spirit behaviour, and proven ability to work cross-functionally.
- Fluent in English as a business language.
