Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Plant Manager to be responsible for leading and managing all safety efforts at the plant as well as planning, quality control, customer services and maintenance functions. Additional objectives include asset protection, financials, budgeting, cost control, environmental, personnel and community relations. This position will lead the management team and hourly employees for our Ames Mine.

Work Environment
This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. This position may require long hours and weekend work.

- Responsible for leading the safety, health, environmental programs, guidelines and policies.
- Lead and develop salary and hourly workforce to create teamwork and drive a safe and productive environment.
- Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State and Federal rules and regulations.
- Leads operations to established production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
- Responsible for the planning and scheduling of plant activities to include schedule, production and training activities.

- A Bachelor's Degree, four or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Management or Engineering and four or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Skill Trade Certification(s) are a plus.
