Job Summary
Supervise the planning, scheduling, and execution of outages in accordance with approved outage schedules. Direct activities of outage coordinators, outage planners, schedulers and others assigned to the outage group. Responsible for strategic elements of outage planning. Interface and coordinate with various departments the pre-outage activities for meeting outage milestones, outage scope, and outage schedule development. Ensure all departments are meeting respective obligations required to support the outage plan for planned outages. Coordinate and track station preparedness for outages including outage prefabrication work and contractor mobilization. Coordinate with department supervisors and outage coordinators to determine work scope and resources required to perform the work scopes during an outage. Coordinate with the Supervisor Nuclear Planning to ensure work orders are properly planned, material needs are identified, and support craft and special permits are identified and initiated. Supervise the development of a logical outage schedule. Manage daily/shift outage activities for effective plant refueling, maintenance and upgrade. Communicate to the station outage organization the shutdown safety expectations, upcoming outage execution milestones and schedule changes. Conduct critiques for outages and conduct station meetings. Oversee the preparation and submittal of the outage group budget and monitor monthly performance. Perform annual performance appraisals and determine merit pay adjustments for direct reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:
-7+ years of directly related experience.
-Preferred: Currently have or have held SRO license or certificate on a PWR with control room SRO operating experience or equivalent experience in work management or outage management with knowledge of plant systems.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred: Technical Studies
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Must possess minimum qualifications and experience as defined in QAP and ANSI Standards. Preferred to have or have held an SRO license or SRO Certificate on a PWR.
Note: Dominion Energy minimum requirements may exceed any ANSI standards and candidates must meet the Dominion Energy minimum requirements.
