Your role and responsibilities
ABB robotics market share in welding has grown in the recent year and we are looking for an enthusiastic salesperson to continue to drive this for us, as a national role, and part of the UK & Ireland sales strategy. Working predominantly with End Users in the Yellow Goods/Agriculture and Earth Moving Equipment but also within all of General Industry area of welding, as a business development activity to develop and grow the use of robotic welding. There will be some business, through indirect channels, to develop some credible System Integrators within this arena. This is a role reporting into the UK & Ireland organisation, home based. Main responsibilities: • Business Development for robotic welding in a national role within the UK • Defining and implementing the sales strategy and budget to a defined list of customers, as well as developing new customers, working with the Sales Manager and the Channel Manager. Ensuring a regular contact with existing and new customers. • You will be working to a personal and business target, that will be set for each financial year, as well as contributing to a team target. This will part of your goals, as well as some behavioral targets from the ABB 4Cs - Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage, and Care • Working with customers, you should be able to negotiate on specifications and pricing, whist maintaining the maximum margins for ABB. • Identifies and evaluates new potential systems integrators and OEMs, working together with the Channel Manager and in coordination with the Sales management team. Maintain and grow the existing geographical customers • As part of the ABB QCE (Quality Customer Experience) program you should maintain the highest level of engagement with existing and new customers, and strategic partnerships, developing personal relationships with partners, customers and other decision makers • Monitors client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal teams. Responsible for identifying and managing risk s relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels/segments • Work alongside your peers in the team, as well as the management team. Personal development will be part of the annual appraisal process. • Propose and support marketing campaigns (digital/physical) in the country working with local UK & Ireland marketing • Be the ambassador for ABB Robotics by attending and developing events/fair/ open houses as directed by the UK & Ireland Sales Manager.

Qualifications for the role
- Team player - this role has a high degree of collaboration
- Considerable experience in sales or engineering
- Welding process knowledge is required
- Experience of robots is required
- Knowledge of Manufacturing , especially utilization of jigs and fixtures is required
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Current driving license
