Job Description
The Career and Technical Programs department offers non-transferable credit courses in career development, computer training and health care through Continuing Professional Education (CPE). CPE courses are short-term trainings that are completed within one semester. We continually accept proposals for new courses leading to a career.
Responsibilities
Duties of Position:
Training covers Solar PV technologies, protocols, and best practices. Topics covered include NABCEP Solar PV Associate Certification Preparation, Solar Business and Technical Sales, as well as PV application, design, installation, operation, cybersecurity, and maintenance.

Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience is required with a focus on solar photovoltaics, alternative energy, sustainability, natural science or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
Two years of professional experience in the alternative energy industry including solar, wind, construction and installation, electrical, and/or energy auditing. Knowledge of safety practices in professional settings. Experience teaching adults.
Preferred Education and Licensure:
Bachelors' or Master's degree in alternative energy/sustainability or related fields as well as certification/licensure including NABCEP Solar PV Associate, PV Installation Professional or other NABCEP or industry-recognized certification.

The Career and Technical Programs provide programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers.

- Conduct online and on-site training for solar photovoltaics technology, processes, technical sales, solar installation, and related subject areas
- Evaluate student performance and record grades
- Ensure students who successfully complete programs receive a digital badge and access to certification and career resources
- Support the development of related Continuing Professional Education courses in accordance with industry certification requirements
