Intern (m/f/d) Development and improvement of tools for thermal engineering

Your Tasks

We are seeking a highly motivated andtechnically skilled intern to join our Thermal Engineering team. The candidatewill play a key role in developing and maintaining an in-house MATLAB tool forpost-processing thermal engineering model results.
OHB has already started the creation of thistool and is now looking for an intern to continue the development of the OHBTRV - Thermal Result Viewer.
This tool will be used to analyze and processdata from thermal simulations to support various space engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain an in-house MATLAB-based tool for post-processing thermal engineering model results
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the tool meets the technical requirements for space thermal simulations
  • Implement new features and updates to improve the tool's performance and functionality
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues within the MATLAB environment
  • Document tool usage, features, and updates made

Your Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB is essential
  • Solid understanding of programming principles, algorithms, and data structures
  • Experience in developing software tools or applications, preferably in MATLAB
  • Ability to understand and work with large datasets
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Self-reliance and teamwork skills, as well as a passion for interdisciplinary work
  • Systematic work approach

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with space thermal engineering or similar scientific engineering fields
  • Experience in data post-processing and visualization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
