- Manage all field engineering activities; supervise field engineering team and Laboratory people and ensure full support to them.
- Ensure that all DOTL field engineering work is carried out safely, on schedule and within budget according to professional and certifying authority standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that field engineering objectives are clearly communicated and understood by team members.
- Guide field engineering teams in achieving work objectives safely, on time and within budget, in accordance with company HSE policy, best professional engineering practices and certifying authority standards.
- Review Scope of Work (SOW), Design packages, procedures, reports and test results related to field engineering work. Provide comments and recommendations to Engineering Manager as appropriate.
- Develop realistic schedules for minor engineering works and implementation programs.
- Review evaluations of contractors' and vendors' quality of work and HSE performance and provide recommendations for follow-up.
- Identify opportunities for process and facilities optimization. Coordinate optimization efforts among field engineering staff and other concerned departments.
- Support troubleshooting of equipment and processes and provide solutions to improve performance.
- Supervise inspection engineers in order to ensure high quality of inspection programs.
- Identify problems in engineering assets (for example, corrosion or equipment vibration) based on evaluation of inspection and maintenance reports. Recommend and oversee corrective actions.
- Be aware of budget availability, contribute to the department budget planning process and maintain cost control of project activities within budget constraints.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant oil and gas industry experience, including work in process design, specification, installation, quality assurance, commissioning, and maintenance of large onshore and offshore projects. Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience.
