Role Overview
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date adjusted cost base (ACB) for Domestic and International subsidiaries.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date Surplus calculations for Domestic and International subsidiaries.
- Perform basic tax research and summarize and articulate results.
- Collect and organize legal and financial information to respond to Canada Revenue Agency audit queries in a timely manner.
- Support ad-hoc requests.
Skills & Qualifications
- Tax Assessments: Strong understanding of tax assessment processes.
- Tax Audits: Experience in handling tax audits.
- Tax Compliance: Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Optional requirement: Tax Preparation, Adjusted Cost Base Calculation, Surplus Calculation, Basic Tax Research, Legal And Financial Information Organization
- Timely and accurate preparation of federal, provincial, and other tax filings.
- Experience with the energy industry preferred.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
Education & Experience
- Relevant university degree required.
- CPA designation/InDepth tax training preferred.
