Your role and responsibilities
As the Product Manager for the Automation Studio product at B&R, you will own the end-to-end roadmap and priority definition for the product, both for the existing product line and also for the next generation of Automation Studio. You will work closely with different Global stakeholders like Sales teams, Application Engineering teams, Product Owner, Development Team, User Experience Team, Quality Engineering, Documentation and End Customers. You will represent the "Voice of the customer" by maintaining and prioritizing the backlog in consultation with Product Development Team, to ensure that the teams are working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary functionality to all customers. You will be responsible for coordinating the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch and beyond, while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. You will also define pricing and future business models for the software you are responsible for, while working closely with the Sales teams and customers. Other responsibilities include: • Define innovative product requirements and specifications based on market insights, customer feedback, and business priorities. • Work closely with customer facing teams to develop go-to-market plans, positioning strategies, and sales enablement materials. • Supervise product performance and key metrics, and iterate on strategies to optimize product success and profitability. • Act as a subject matter expert for the assigned product lines, providing mentorship and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's in a relevant field (MBA or advanced degree preferred) with 10-12 years in product management, focusing on industrial automation and machine building industry.
- Technical Skills: Expertise with IDE software or similar developer tools; strong understanding of both on-premises and cloud technologies, and ability to communicate their technical and business benefits.
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Proven record in setting and defending product priorities based on customer data, with strategic and proactive thinking in fast-paced environments.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams and influence stakeholders globally.
- Industry Knowledge: Advantageous background in Sales or Application Engineering within manufacturing or industrial automation; global customer focus and ability to prioritize for high-value outcomes.
- Language & Travel: Proficiency in German and English; willing to travel up to 30%.
