Job Purpose
As a SHES Specialist for the Process Trains at Onshore, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, health, environment, and security compliance throughout the construction and execution phases of this large-scale LNG project. Working closely with EPC Contractors, subcontractors, and project teams, you will champion safety initiatives, foster a culture of proactive compliance, and contribute to delivering world-class safety performance.

Working closely with EPC Contractors, subcontractors, and project teams, you will champion safety initiatives, foster a culture of proactive compliance, and contribute to delivering world-class safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and Oversight: Assist the SHES Lead in implementing SHES Plans and Procedures across all EPC packages, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between the PMT, Contractors, and external regulatory bodies to align safety expectations and compliance requirements.
- On-site Leadership: Provide visible safety leadership, participate in toolbox talks, and support daily safe work practices among contractors and teams.
- Compliance Monitoring: Conduct field inspections to verify SHES programs are executed effectively, ensuring regulatory and procedural adherence.
- Incident Management: Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and follow-up on corrective actions to ensure timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Safety Culture Development: Promote strong safety practices through training, mentoring, and the implementation of safety initiatives, including observation programs.
- Audit and Verification: Participate in audits, walkthroughs, and pre-startup reviews to validate SHES implementation and identify opportunities for enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education and Certification:
- SHES-related NVQ Level 5 or equivalent (15 years of relevant experience may substitute).
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent.
- Lead Auditor certification in SHES.
- Root Cause Analysis training (e.g., TapRooT®, Tripod Beta).
- Professional Experience:
- At least 10 years in occupational health and safety, ideally with large-scale projects in the oil, gas, or energy sector.
- Proven track record with Tier-1 EPC Contractors, managing complex greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex issues and implementing innovative solutions.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in multicultural, multidisciplinary environments.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
