We are looking for a Team Lead Embedded Software to act as a Principal Embedded Software Developer. The position will lead a small team of SW engineers developing world class multiphase measurement instruments.

The focus of this position is software development of embedded systems using C++ on a Linux platform. Working in a structured requirement driven engineering process.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Team lead and mentor
  • Take ownership of development objectives and drive development through all phases.
  • Collaborate with other functions in product definition and requirement specification processes (FRS and system level).
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and documentation of software requirement specifications and source code.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and testing of software modules and systems, supporting both software and hardware testing.
  • Mentor and guide team members on general work practices and specific technical topics.
  • Actively contribute to process and quality improvements.


Who You Are:

You are an expert Principal Embedded Software Developer passionate about leading and mentoring a team of engineers. Your proficiency in C++ on a Linux platform, along with your background in structured engineering processes, qualifies you for developing outstanding multiphase measurement instruments.

You excel in taking ownership of development objectives and driving them through all phases. Collaboration with multi-functional teams during product definition and requirement specification processes is your forte. You are proficient in crafting, maintaining, and detailing software requirements and source code.

Your strengths lie in overseeing the design, development, and testing of software modules and systems, including supporting hardware testing.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • University level / college degree in IT, programming, electronics or relevant field. Lack of formal education may be compensated with proven experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Deep knowledge on more than one of the following:
  • Embedded C / C++ programming and Python scripting
  • Embedded web pages / servers
  • Linux OS development


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Understanding of physics, electronics, mathematics
  • Agile work practices
  • Linux development experience
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Secure coding and security standard methodologies
