Your role and responsibilities

In Electrification Business - Smart Power Division, we are looking for a Global Application Specialist in Renewable energy with specific focus on solar, energy storage, hydrogen. In this role you will be team member of Agile Team (AT) Develop Applications and Solutions for Solar, Energy Storage and Hydrogen within Agile Unit (AU) Sustainable Energy. The work model for the role is onsite/hybrid/remote. This role is contributing to the ELSP globally. You will be mainly accountable for: • Developing and promoting applications in solar, energy storage, and hydrogen, focusing on low voltage products and digital solutions. • Defining the ABB and competitive landscape while monitoring market trends in these applications and recommending adjustments for long- and mid-term strategies. • Supporting customers in identifying the best solutions for their projects and validating applications through testing. • Creating an adequate customer journey for respective applications and providing feedback to R&D, product management, and digital teams on new developments. • Participating in international standardization committees while living ABB's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for actions and caring for colleagues and the business.

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and preferably 5 years of experience in energy storage, green hydrogen, solar
• Experience in electrical systems such as PCS and battery protection and knowledge of Direct Current applications
• Knowledge of green hydrogen and fuel cells technology is considered a plus
• Technical understanding and willingness to learn and continuously acquire new competences.
• Agile mindset and preferable experience in an agile working context
• Negotiation skills, market knowledge, leadership skills, social skills complete the profile
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
