Responsible for overseeing Quality throughout Shipping, Receiving, and Repair teams. Responsible for developing and implementing Quality Control Programs. This position directly supervises department staff in the assigned area and is also responsible for systems controlling product quality along with identifying and resolving non-conformances.
This position has supervisor responsibility.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and standards required to ensure that product engineering specifications are met along with customer requirements.
• Manage non-conforming product control systems by coordinating the disposition of issues and tracking status.
• Supervise Quality Department Staff assigned to quality inspections and project execution with staff members.
• Investigate product non-conformances and take action to resolve and prevent issues.
• Coordinate development of product quality control systems for new or revised products, including interface with customers as required.
• Devises sampling procedures and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
• Implement and support self-managed teams
• Guarantee the safety of your work area and team members by adhering to safety policies and procedures and requiring a safety mindset
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• College Education / Degree in related field preferred.
• 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a high degree of adaptability & flexibility
• Strong desire to learn new skills & knowledge
• Excellent work ethic, dependability & dedication to team & company, personal desire & value to produce quality work
• Basic and applied knowledge of Lean/5S concepts
• Understanding basic production work instructions
• Conflict resolution and effective verbal & written communication skills, executed with respect, care and concern for colleagues.
• Minimum travel may be required.
