WRS are looking for a Solar Project Development Manager to join a fast growing renewable developer on a permanent basis in Northeast Germany

With an impressive portfolio exceeding 13 GW across multiple technologies, we are expanding our presence and seeking a Solar Project Development Manager to lead the development of solar PV projects in Germany. This role is based in the Northeast of Germany, with flexible remote working options.

About the Role

As a Solar Project Development Manager, you will be instrumental in advancing solar PV projects from inception to Ready-to-Build status. This involves stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and ensuring high-quality delivery within timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the company before landowners, local communities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders in Germany.
• Originate and develop solar PV opportunities, building a robust pipeline of projects.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, quality control, and risk management throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external advisors, and equipment suppliers to drive project success.
• Maintain and enhance professional qualifications to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Services, Landscape Planning, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in solar PV project development.
• Comprehensive understanding of German solar regulations and the project lifecycle.
• Fluent German (C2) and good English skills (B2). Proficiency in another European language is a plus.
• Independent, solution-oriented thinker with a team-first approach and excellent relationship-building skills.
