Senior Product Stewardship Specialist

As a Senior Product Stewardship Specialist at Honeywell, in Dublin, you will be responsible for provides and coordinates expert product stewardship guidance to businesses and technology developers. This covers applicable regulations in the areas of chemical registration and compliance, as well as food contact and medical device regulations, product safety, product environmental footprint, and sustainable design. Will be the primary Product Stewardship contact for the regional business, owns the compliance processes in the region, and works closely with the Global PS and the product stewardship experts in NA and APAC to align on compliance strategies.

Duties
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance processes and activities for Specialty Additives, Aclar and Spectra, working closely with global Product Stewardship and experts in APAC and North America, as well as hazard communication experts, to jointly deliver on the strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance to the business, seek alignment, and implement appropriate compliance plans to promote organic growth and new product development initiatives. Identify and manage risks early in the product life cycle, working across the PS function.
  • Develop and implement programs to achieve full compliance with REACH and similar regulations in the region. Maintain / develop sound working relationships with service providers in the regulatory and legal fields.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge about regional regulations and industry standards. Anticipate changes with respect to existing regulations and identify emerging new regulations that may impact the business. Manage accordingly with the global Product Stewardship team.
  • Ownership of specific regulatory expertise / tools across all businesses in the Product Stewardship team: for example, food contact legislation, microplastics, medical devices, REACH registration for polymers.

InOctober, 2024 Honeywell announcedthe spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to becomea stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intentionis that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a partof this future transaction when the separation occurs

Key skills and qualifications

• MSc in life sciences or chemical engineering, chemistry, health/medical sciences, toxicology, regulatory affairs or a related scientific discipline.

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge within the following areas: Product Stewardship / Regulatory Affairs related to the chemical industry / EU REACH & REACH-like regulations / Classification / labelling under GHS/CLP/ Regulatory IT systems such as IUCLID, SAP EHS.

• Experience with global teams, across time zones, with a diversity of cultures, and across multiple disciplines and levels of the organization.

• Strong management, project management and team partnership skills; achieving extraordinary results.

• Strong communications skills. Outstanding verbal, written and presentation clarity.
