Job description:
The Government Relations Executive Advisor is responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with government entities to advance Company' s business objectives.
This role involves proactive high-level interaction with key RoK government officials including RoK President's Administration and Prime-Minister's Office and national companies to identify risks, influence policy making at the level of their development and advocate on main issues and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
Strategic Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government officials and agencies.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and government stakeholders.
• Facilitate high-level meetings and discussions to advance organizational goals.
Policy Advocacy:
• Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the organization.
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence public policy in favor of the organization.
• Prepare and present policy briefs, position papers, and testimony for legislative hearings.
Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure the organization complies with all relevant government regulations and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory issues and mitigate risks.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance on regulatory matters to internal teams and senior management.
Strategic Advocacy:
• Develop and implement advocacy strategies to influence public policy in favor of the organization.
• Engage with government officials, legislators, and regulatory bodies to advocate for the organization's positions.
• Coordinate and participate in advocacy efforts, including meetings, hearings, and public consultations.
• Build strong relationships with other organizations and stakeholders to support advocacy initiatives.
Research and Analysis:
• Stay informed about current trends, developments, and challenges in relevant policy areas.
• Conduct data analysis and research to support policy recommendations and advocacy efforts.
• Forecast future policy scenarios and assess potential risks and opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement:
• Organize and participate in public forums, conferences, and events to promote the organization.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align government engagement strategies with organizational goals.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to build support for the organization's initiatives.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and legislative staff.
• Represent the organization at public meetings, conferences, and events.
• Facilitate communication between the organization and government stakeholders.
• Organize and lead stakeholder consultations and public engagement activities.
Job Specification and requirements:
• Strong understanding of RoK government processes and regulatory environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex policy issues and develop strategic responses.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
• Bachelor's degree in public administration, Political Science, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successful government engagement and policy advocacy.
• Language skills: Kazakh (Advanced), Russian (Advanced), English (Intermediate)
