Airswift is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Geotechnician to join our Geoscience Technical Support (GTS) team. In this role, you will ensure data integrity and provide technical/application support to business unit geoscientists. You will actively participate in projects, understand their objectives, and anticipate needs through a strong understanding of geology, internal workflows, and databases. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills to support technical initiatives effectively.

- Workflow Management and Tool Proficiency:
- Learn and apply existing workflows and tools to support technical operations.
- Manage PTRs (Problem Tracking Reports) and SCRs (Software Change Requests) as part of the development team.
- Database Management:
- Build, maintain, and update attributes within the Subsurface Database Environment (SDE) and the Integrated Management Database (IMDB).
- Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across systems.
- Data and GIS Support:
- Create and manage shape files in ArcGIS to support development projects.
- Perform data quality testing and ensure access to accurate datasets.
- Update and manage attributes for stick maps to reflect company plans and reserves.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with domain experts, geoscientists, data scientists, and engineers to understand project needs, constraints, and deliverables.
- Support integration efforts to transition data and workflows.
- Process Improvement and Automation:
- Design and develop automated workflows using technologies like Python, GIS, SQL, Spotfire, Alteryx, and MS Power Platform.
- Focus on minimizing human error, standardizing data, and implementing best practices for data integrity and governance.
- Data Management:
- Handle, manage, and maintain large datasets efficiently.
- Streamline data flows and support data management initiatives with embedded development analysts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in GIS tools (ArcGIS), SQL, Spotfire, and Python; experience with Alteryx and MS Power Platform is a plus.
- Strong understanding of geology, geoscience workflows, and database systems (e.g. Subsurface Database, Recall).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and test data quality while identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Experience creating and maintaining shape files and working with geospatial data.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to design and implement automated workflows for process improvement.
- Familiarity with data integration and management processes, including feeding data between systems like Plex and Thor.
