Your role and responsibilities
Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, ELIP, the Plant Manager of ABB Pointe-Claire is responsible for planning, organizing, overseeing, and controlling overall operational activities. With relevant industry experience, the Plant Manager provides the necessary activities and manages projects related to processes to optimize resource utilization and ensure achievement of overall objectives. The Plant Manager uses strong leadership and mobilization skills to lead the team and promote the development. He implements a culture that allows continuous optimization of processes, and therefore, improve plant performance in terms of health and safety, quality, procurement, service, and productivity. • Plan and oversee operations activities including, among others, production, procurement, quality, health and safety, manufacturing engineering, technical services and logistics departments. • Support and lead his team in the development and management of performance indicators (KPI) of the various departments of the plant in order to ensure competitive, constant and reliable results. • Ensures the achievement of established objectives, through the sound management of improvement opportunities. Focuses on achievement of operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery and cost reduction. • Work with the Product Group Manager, to ensure close collaboration with the research and development, customer service, product and marketing departments. • Support and develop talent in order to foster a competent, efficient and mobilized team. • Ensure alignment of resources with the global strategic vision and ensure its deployment across its organizations. • Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree and 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the electrical and electronic manufacturing fields..
- Knowledge of various principles; "lean manufacturing", "lean office", "6 Sigma", flow of materials and components, information management, etc.
- Sense of leadership, respect, integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to work under pressure.
- Communication skills and bilingualism, French and English, spoken and written.
