What are you going to do

As a Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of mechanical equipment, mainly working on the dewatering pumps, at the mine's pump stations underground. You will work in a team of skilled professionals to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment and systems that support the mine's production goals.

Essential skills and knowledge

List of Requirements

• Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining) or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the mining industry
• Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of dewatering pumps and associated equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Willingness to work on a FIFO basis in PNG Gold Mine's Dewatering Pump Stations
