he Transport Specialist will be part of the MED region transport outbound team.

The department has the responsibility to get oversized, heavy-lift and general transport components in time and on budget onto our new construction sites within MED region (Southern and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa).

Responsibilities

The Transport Coordinator will be fully responsible for all transport related activities including customs clearance. A close coordination of all deliveries together with factories, installation sites, global vessel team, the nominated transport company and other relevant stakeholders is required.

These locations scope of responsibility will be primarily (but not limited) deliveries into Southeast European Markets.

• Project Transport Budget preparation and responsibility.
• Ensure safety and quality compliance within transport operations
• Burget risks and opportunities early identification and management.
• Assessment of Road Surveys
• Prepare Scope of Supply for transport sourcing.
• Preparing of project transport planning and monitor transport capacity
• Coordinate shipment/deliveries with relevant stakeholders (including Port of Discharge coordination)
• Plan and coordinate return transport of transport equipment from installation sites to factories
• Ensure customs process compliance
• Ensure quality and safety in transport operations, support in incidents investigation
• Support inbound general cargo processes to the Vestas location incidents (sites, service warehouses, factories)

Qualifications

• Preferably university level degree in Engineering or Technical or Commercials
• We are looking for a candidate with experience in Rumania within the oversized, heavy-lift transport and project management
• Maritime commercial experience in project bulk will be highly evaluated
• Good proficiency in IT with a solid knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP)
• Experience in a Large International company can be beneficial
• Languagues: Romanian and English

• Thorough knowledge of oversized, heavy-lift transport.
• Ability to understand and evaluate complex supply chain-related issues including the financial impacts.
• Customer-oriented skills and ability to maneuver/communicate among various stakeholders and different cultures.
• Analytical skills and ability to focus on detail without losing the overall perspective and to draw and communicate conclusions.
• Technical capabilities to understand drawings.
• Knowledge of project management and process improvement methods is advantageous
