This position reports to

EL Sales Support Mgr.-Commercial Operat.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and its customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions for the applied products and technology. The work model for the role is: #L-Hybrid This role is contributing to the ELECTRIFICATION team and stakeholders. You will be mainly accountable for: • Provide technical support for electrical distribution and control products found in the BuyLog and Control Catalog. Provide technical support for ABB electrical distribution and control products • Promote ABB Sales opportunities by providing timely competitor-to-ABB product cross-reference support. Assist customers and sales with accurate product selection for the intended application use (form, fit, and function). Respond promptly to requests for installation documentation, product drawings and publications. Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone and email • Interact with Technology (R&D), Supply Chain (factory) and Product Management to provide technical and commercial solutions for customers.Work cross functionally with global teams. Document customer cases and actions using case tracking tool, Salesforce. Answer customer phone calls as part of the Call Center Team • Pro-active communication with the sales teams and other internal functions, distributors, and other internal/external functions to guarantee customer satisfaction by providing all relevant information. Be an escalation point for technical issues reported by customers. • Offers product/solution/service-related training to customers and other stakeholders, mostly internal commercial operation functions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Minimum of 2 years in depth knowledge of ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS as residential, distribution, and control products, including load centers, transformers, modular metering, industrial breakers, panel boards, motor control, pushbuttons, safety switches, drives, Automatic Transfer Switches and programming MODBUS
  • Strong team orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate in English with US Customers via the phone and email.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
