This position reports to

IS Program Management Office Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB's operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is: onsite This role is contributing to the Business. You will be mainly accountable for: • Portfolio Services is a function of the Office of the CIO with focus on IS strategy, standards, governance, and value add to the Business. • Participate in existing organizational processes: governance, planning, projects as well as monitoring, controlling, and reporting activities. • Collaborate with colleagues to understand challenges, help needed, opportunities to drive organizational maturity and improve Business alignment. Collaborate on plans and timeline to remediate. • Engage in wing-to-wing actions to understand, define, and help implement a solution supporting the ELIP IS organization. • Define new IS organizational or Business processes, clearly document, socialize and train. Monitor + control. • Use data driven analysis to assess effectiveness of existing processes. Identify and implement improvements. • Mentoring and networking opportunities. • Personal and professional development programing will be offered to all interns. This program will include global and local sessions.

Qualifications for the role

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, or Related Fields the United States.
  • Intern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
