Your role and responsibilities
As a Finance Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Electrification Service Division (ELSE) in Canada, benchmarking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. Provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget and forecasts in order to support ABB Group management and other stakeholders at various organization levels in decision making processes. You will be responsible to act as a support to the finance team and the business operations, supporting all financial and commercial matters and actively driving the business performance. • Performing analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast, and accordingly proposing improvement actions. • Ensuring alignment with Accounting Policy, Internal Controls, and Assurance, maintaining proper audit trails and documentation for future audits. • Month end activities to include but not limited to, account analyses, account reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries, SOX controls, variance analyses and reports for management review. • Reviewing and classify income and expenditures accurately and ensure compliance with ABB procedures in general accounting practices and policies. • Support to prepare financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting documents, and presentations. • Optimizing performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplication, and coordinating information requirements.

Qualifications for the role
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration or related.
- 2-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role.
- Financial acumen, experience with problem solving and critical thinking.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP, Oracle or related financial systems.
- Knowledge of SAP is required, Power BI is an advantage.
- Microsoft Office experience (intermediate/advance experience in excel)
- Attention to detail, accountability, and ability to multitask.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (French and English). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
- Hybrid (2 days office) located in Montreal, QC.
