Your role and responsibilities
Do you feel like a fish in the water in a maritime service environment, where no day is the same and are you looking for a new challenge? Are you someone who can switch quickly? Can you manage several service jobs simultaneously & efficiently? Do you like organisation? Does this suit you? Then you are a great addition to our team! The Marine & Ports division provides high-tech products and services to major shipping and offshore companies worldwide and are involved in new construction, retrofit, maintenance projects and on-call services, among other things. A vacancy has arisen within this division for a Service Coordinator. As Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and planning on-call service work on board ships, port cranes and platforms around the world. The service itself is carried out by a team of Field Service Engineers, requiring very close cooperation and flexibility. It is a challenging, varied and broad position that does not involve a 9 to 5 mentality. You will be part of an enthusiastic team, who together want to achieve the objectives and where we help each other, support and make use of each other's qualities. Your responsibilities are: - Offering and scheduling service work. - Coordinating the work of your fellow Field Service Engineers. This coordination consists of providing the necessary information, documents and materials for the service work, both prior to commencement and during execution. - Being responsible for all service administration. - Liaising between ABB and the customer worldwide. - Collaborating with other ABB Marine Service Centres worldwide. - You will rotate 1 x every 6-8 weeks in the standby service. - Supporting technical support (calibrations of measuring instruments).

Qualifications for the role
- Education: You have an MBO or HBO degree, preferably with a technical background.
- Service-oriented: You have a service-minded attitude and can empathize with the needs of customers and colleagues.
- Organizational skills: You excel at handling multiple tasks simultaneously. You can prioritize effectively and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Process management: You thrive in a dynamic environment, ensuring processes run smoothly. Solving daily challenges gives you satisfaction, and you see it as an opportunity to achieve optimal efficiency.
- Creative and commercial mindset: In the shipping and offshore sectors, things don't always go as planned. You can think creatively yet realistically and always keep the commercial aspects of a service role in mind.
- Proactive attitude: You are results-driven, flexible, customer-focused, and continuously seek ways to improve yourself and your work processes.
- Communication skills: You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- IT proficiency: You are skilled in MS Office and have experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Flexibility: The maritime sector does not operate on a nine-to-five schedule. You are willing to participate in our on-call duty (picket service).
