What will you be doing?

You will be part of the Technology Development department, and you will work closely with the "Risers, Installation, Analysis & Umbilicals" specialty of the "Design & Analysis" department. "Risers" are multi-phase thermo-hydraulic pipes connecting a surface platform (fixed or floating) to the ocean floor. These pipes are designed according to different catenary shapes making them able to withstand the excitations of the marine environment. For example, excitations due to waves, sea currents and platform motions generate dynamic forces that we must estimate precisely to guarantee a safe design approach. As such, you will be responsible for analyzing the latest analytical developments, determining the catenary shape of these pipes and applying or extending the dynamic load estimation models developed to date (fatigue analysis). A quantitative comparison of the results is expected to estimate the differences observed from the company's reference software. The results obtained will allow to define areas for improvement regarding the application of our products for the energy transition, and for the historical activities of the company.
