Description

The purpose of this class is to perform specialized skills in the maintenance of county facilities.
Job Responsibilities

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.

• Installs, repairs, and maintains air conditioning and heating units.
• Inspects interior and exterior building HVAC systems and equipment; makes repairs as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance and energy efficiency upgrades.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting system malfunctions, and repairing or replacing parts.
• Inspects and testing HVAC systems and components
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service to equipment.
• Ensures compliance with local, state and Federal laws (OSHA)
• Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• HVAC license or certification required.
