LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 260 DAYS PAY GRADE: AU7

WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt SALARY RANGE: $23.24 Min $33.10 Max

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The HVAC Foreman is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in the district.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED required
Technical school preferred
Refrigerant recovery certification
At least five years in HVAC field
Able to read blue prints and schematics
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable
Must be able to use computers

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee boilers and distribution system
• Oversee chemical water treatment for open and closed loop systems.
• Maintain daily log on refrigerants used by HVAC crews.
• Maintain daily log on equipment replaced.
• Ensure that all work orders are successfully completed and submitted to office staff in a timely manner.
• Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of all HVAC and refrigeration equipment in the district.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials.
• Receive and assign all work orders to HVAC crews.
• Maintain work schedules to carry a successful preventive maintenance program.
• Programs and schedules requests to keep AC or heater running during extra-curricular activities.
• Operate controls for HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT USED:
• Two-way radio, district vehicle, electric hand tools, soldering torch, and high lifts, computers

WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:
• Maintain emotional control under stress, frequent district travel, heavy lifting and carrying, climbing high places, working inside and outside and in extreme weather conditions, strenuous standing, walking, andbending; working on ladder,
working on slippery or uneven surfaces
