Job Summary:
Responsible for diagnosing and resolving HVAC issues. Position requires strong interpersonal skills and compassion and respect for persons with disabilities
Essential Functions:
- Diagnose and resolve plumbing related issues.
- General knowledge and back up of Plumbing skills
- Respond to emergency service calls promptly.
- Read blueprint, building plans and schematics as required.
- Use a variety of power tools hand tools and measuring devices/meters to perform job function.
- Perform preventive maintenance on various types plumbing equipment.
- Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of equipment.
- Monitor, identify and respond promptly to malfunctioning of equipment.
- Ensures contract performance in accordance with the direction and policies of Chimes DC
- Performs quality work in accordance with safety procedures.
- Comply with priorities for the flow of work
- Use technology for the completion of specified job duties
- Use and care for equipment properly following all safety requirements
- Attend work regularly according to assigned work schedule
- Wear ID badge(s) at all times while performing work under this contract.
- Follow instructions
- Attend and participate in all meetings and activities to facilitate professional development
- Work cooperatively with others in a positive, enthusiastic, respectful, and courteous manner
- Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications
- Pass and comply with rules for the site, security and safety guidelines, and Chimes District of Columbia Rules for the Workplace, and ensure others do the same
- Assist as needed during Snow removal
Physical Abilities Needed to Meet Work Demands:
- Work requires good dexterity and physical condition.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to go up and down stairs
- Ability to get into and out of truck
- Ability to reach above the head, bend, kneel, stoop
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 75 lbs. regularly as needed
- Ability to work in dusty spaces or adverse weather conditions
- Ability to see details on the floor, above the head, or on surfaces

Other requirements:
- Valid driver's license from state of residence and ability to drive
- License must have been valid for at least 3 years
- Acceptable driving record as determined by Agency's insurance carrier and by Chimes DC policies and procedures

- Secret Clearance required and maintained
- US Citizenship required
Essential Personnel:

Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Formal training as a HVAC Technician
Experience:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in HVAC Field
- Extremely high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to perform quality work while following safety procedures
- Must be knowledgeable of and able to apply all local, state, and federal codes
- Must be able to read a blueprint
- Must be able to work OT if and when needed
