Moog's Military Aircraft Group is hiring for a Supervisor - HVAC

The Supervisor - HVAC reports to the Manager, Campus Operation within Moog Military Aircraft Group.

This position is in East Aurora, NY and has a full-time on-site presence.

The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for the personnel supervision, technical direction, construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of the HVAC, process cooling, and building automation systems for the Moog East Aurora Campus operations. They will be process minded, driven by continuous improvement, and a strong leader and communicator.

To be considered for this role, here's what you will likely bring with you:

• 10+ years in related facilities operations and 3 years in equivalent management/ supervision responsibilities
• Associates degree in HVAC or Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Technology)
  
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

• Demonstrated Technical Knowledge in the theory and practices along with the construction, repair and utilization of the following types of equipment: Chillers, Air Handling Units, Heat Pumps, Cooling Towers, Air Conditioners, and Refrigeration Equipment
• Experience working in large, complex industrial sites with similar equipment types
• Experience leading capital projects and infrastructure upgrades

Here's what you will be responsible for in this role:

• Ability to inform, influence, and communicate effectively

• Demonstrate team leadership, business and technical analysis, and project management
• Provide input to process development and implementation for functional excellence, workplace safety, contractor management, and environmental initiatives
• Provide technical, service level, and cost input to service agreements, contracts management, and sourcing strategy including engagement with purchasing, real estate management, and finance stakeholders

This role has the responsibility to:

• Design, install, and maintain all HVAC, process cooling systems and related equipment in existing buildings, as well as new construction and facility renovations.
• Support operation, maintenance, and expansion of existing and new site and building management/ automation systems
• Collaboratively coordinate and communicate with site and production management across multiple operating Groups to prioritize service functions that minimize downtime and ensure Moog's East Aurora campus to operate on a 24 hour, 7 day capability
• Hire, coach, and develop department personnel, along with training, scheduling, and directing the daily activities of reporting employees and contractors
• Prepare and execute annual department budgets for staffing, expenses, and capital expenditures and equipment.
• Implement and maintain energy management systems and programs to Moog's ESG initiatives towards carbon, water, and hazardous waste reduction targets
• Provide requirements and coordinate projects with architectural, consulting engineering and contracting firms to insure an appropriate design and schedule completion
• Manage the specification, acquisition, and storage of adequate quantities of spare parts, maintenance supplies and support equipment to minimize equipment downtime risk and minimize overall inventory cost
• Ensure that all activities are performed and records maintained to Moog Systems & Procedures and OSHA requirements; comply with NEC, OSHA and other applicable codes
• Can be called upon for emergencies after normal working hours, including weekends, to coordinate repairs on equipment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $90,000.00-$130,000.00 Annually
